Crisis Response

Health and law enforcement professionals initiate the DART (Domestic Assault Response Team) and MSART (Muskegon County Sexual Assault Response Team) by phoning the EWP Crisis Line 24/7, 365 days a year at (231) 722-3333.

Domestic Assault Response Team (DART)

DART is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to assist victims of domestic violence and their families. As soon as a medical professional or law enforcement agent initiates DART, an EWP advocate is mobilized and joins the team to assist victims at the hospital or on the scene by providing support, safety planning, advocacy, referrals, and information about the effects of domestic violence and how to get help.

Sexual Assault Response Team (MSART)

The county-wide MSART is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to assist victims of sexual assault and their families. As soon as a medical professional or law enforcement agent initiates MSART, an EWP advocate is mobilized and joins the team to assist victims at the hospital or on the scene by providing support, safety planning, advocacy, referrals, and information about the effects of sexual violence and how to get help.

These crisis response teams work to provide victims with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions based on the options available to them.
